It (the <strong>element<\/strong>) is different from all other things in that it possesses its own characteristics, and while being empty and not having any true reality, it also has the nature of <strong>luminosity.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>p.47\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0It (the<strong> dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong>) could also be called the union of wisdom and space, where space is the aspect of emptiness and wisdom is the aspect of <strong>clarity<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>p.62\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The aspect of space is emptiness, that is, the absence of any true reality\u00a0. Since beginningless time, phenomena have been without any reality\u00a0, and the nature of our mind has also been without any reality. This is the space or emptiness phenomena, or we could say the<strong> dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>p.76\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The <strong>dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong> and the <strong>buddha nature<\/strong> are the same\u00a0; they cannot be separated&#8230;When talking about the emptiness aspect we say <strong>dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong>, and when talking about the <strong>luminosity<\/strong> aspect we say <strong>buddha nature<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>It is confirmed by other scriptures\u00a0: From &#8220;Yoga of the Guhyasamajatantra \u2013 Alex Wayman&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>p.188\u00a0: from the Pancakrama\u00a0II,29 commentary : The great Science (mahavidy\u00e2) is the <strong>Dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong>, the <strong>Clear Light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>p.193\u00a0: from Tson-kha-pa commentary on the Caturdev\u00eeparipricch\u00e2\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The three vijn\u00e2nas proceed from the the 18-fold <strong>dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong> which is the <strong>Clear Light<\/strong> of Death.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>p.201\u00a0: from the school of Buddhajn\u00e2nap\u00e2da \u2013 Vitap\u00e2da&#8217;s Muktitilaka-n\u00e2ma-vy\u00e2khy\u00e2na\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The self-existence of the non-duality of the Profound and the Bright has the nature of pervading all states (bh\u00e2va) and is not included in the dharmas of sams\u00e2ra\u00a0; it is called <strong>Dharmadh\u00e2tu<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chittamatra tradition of the Middle Way teaches, according to the Shentong tradition, that the Dharmadh\u00e2tu is the same as the Clear Light and the same as the Buddha Nature (Tathagatagarbha).
