It is attained through the power of the dharmakaya, through realisation. The vajrayana calls this the body of great bliss (mah\u00e2sukhak\u00e2ya) because its distinctive quality is supreme, unchanging bliss. \u00c2rya N\u00e2g\u00e2rjuna has said\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0I pay homage to that which is free from the activity of the three realms\u00a0; which is the equality of space\u00a0; which is the nature of all things\u00a0;&#8230; <em>Praise to the Three K\u00e2yas (Kay\u00e2trayastotra), Toh 1123, Tengyur, bstod tshogs,ka,70b3.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Other references to the svabhavak\u00e2ya\u00a0(from the same book)\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The <strong>svabhavak\u00e2ya<\/strong> is the dharmakaya of the tath\u00e2gatas, because it is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the locus of power<\/span> over everything.\u00a0\u00bb <em>Asanga \u2013 M\u00e2h\u00e2yanasamgraha, Toh 4048, Tengyur, sems tsam, ri, 37a4<\/em>. The Tibetan adds the word \u00ab\u00a0phenomena\u00a0\u00bb to make \u00ab\u00a0power over all phenomena\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0 The categories of the k\u00e2yas of the buddhas\u00a0: There is the <strong>svabhava<\/strong>, the sambogha, and the other k\u00e2ya is the nirm\u00e2na. The first is the basis for the other two.\u00a0\u00bb <em>S\u00fbtr\u00e2lamk\u00e2ra 10:60,11a7<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The <strong>svabhavak\u00e2ya<\/strong> is equal and subtle.\u00a0\u00bb <em>S\u00fbtr\u00e2lamk\u00e2ra 10:62,11b1<\/em>. The Derg\u00e9 Tengyur has \u00ab\u00a0<em>Rang bzhin sk<\/em><em>u<\/em><em> ni mnyam pa dang\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em>The first k\u00e2ya (<strong>svabhavakaya<\/strong>) has the qualities of liberation, such as the powers and so on\u00a0\u00bb. <em>Sublime Continuum, 3:2,65b2<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From Jamg\u00f6n Kongtrul \u2013 The Treasury of Knowledge\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>Talking about the results of practice\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The uncommon transformation is that the physical channels transform into the nirmanakaya, the channel syllabes into sambhogakaya, the constituent elixir into dharmakaya and great bliss, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the core energy current<\/span> of pristine awareness transform into the <strong>svabhavikak\u00e2ya.\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0\u2026 <strong>svabhavikak\u00e2ya<\/strong> is characterized as emptiness, which is to say, the nature of all phenomena, a nature that is free of all elaboration and completely pure\u00a0;\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0 There are four kayas when one adds the <strong>svabh\u00e2vikak\u00e2ya<\/strong> (enlightened dimension of the very essence of being itself) of innate presence, or mah\u00e2sukh\u00e2ya, to the three kayas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Century Schoolbook L,serif;\">3) Sakya Schools<\/span><\/p>\n<p>From the Vajra Lines of the Path with the Results (Virupa) \u2013 Explication of the Treatise for Nyak\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The naturally spontaneous, utterly pure <strong>sv\u00e2bh\u00e2vikak\u00e2ya<\/strong> essence body is achieved. The result is perfected.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0 The fourth initiation dissolves the pulsations of the vital winds&#8230;The vital winds are transformed and &#8216;omnipresent enlightened body, speech, and mind, the <strong>sv\u00e2bh\u00e2vikak\u00e2ya<\/strong> essence body&#8217;, is actualized.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These descriptions , root texts and commentaries are supporting the idea highlighted about the principle of svabhava in Mahayana Buddhism, as not relative to a permanent quality, but rather as an essence.
